Child Creative Movement:  Ballet, Tap, Jazz, and Tumbling incorporating props, creative play and games.  Young children are full of energy, curiosity and creativity.  This program channels their energy, improves concentration, and develops coordination and confidence. Ages 3 – 6.

Extended Combination:  Ballet, Jazz and Tap.  Ideal for the student that wants all types of dance in one class.  An extension of Child Creative Movement.  Ages 6 – 8. 

Ballroom Dance - Rhumba, Waltz, Cha-Cha, Tango, Fox Trot, Samba, Mambo, Salsa, Merengue, Country Two-Step, Country Line and Wedding Dances.  For Couples and Singles

Ballet:  Technique consists of stylized positions and movement.  This form formulated over 300 years ago and is one of the most predominant dance forms in the world.  Class is very structured focusing on proper body placement, flexibility, strength, and control, terminology, performance of individual steps and routines with precision and grace.  Ages 7 and up.

Pointe:  Offered to students with sufficient background in Demi-Pointe who have obtained proper strength and balance.  A Demi-Pointe Ballet class must be taken along with Pointe.  Ages 11 and up.

Lyrical:  Combines elements of Ballet, Jazz and Modern.  Ages 7 and up.

Liturgical/Praise Contemporary Dance:  Combining the advanced dynamics of Ballet, Modern and Jazz styles with the Dramatic Arts exemplifying a "Modest" example with inspirational music.  Ages 6 to Adult.

Jazz:  The ability to isolate movements of the head, shoulders, ribcage and pelvis is central to Jazz dancing.  Expressing these isolations and distortions of the human form leads to many different styles; from movements reflecting the “flavor” of everyday life to forms of classical elegance; from primitive forms to theatrical forms.  Many styles evolved from the basis of Ballet.

Hip-Hop:  This class continues to grow in popularity for children, teens and adults.  Ages 7 and up.

Modern:  “Contemporary Dance”  Modern is a product of the 20th Century.  It incorporates some of the traditions and movements related to classical ballet and to ethnic forms.  Modern extends the performing range of its body instruments and has adopted a very different use of movement; keeping more with its time.  Ages 9 and up.

Tap:  Emphasis on footwork and expression of rhythm through sound.  Barre and floor warm-up, short combinations progressing to full routines.  Different styles are taught.  Ages 7 and up.

Galaxy Troupe Competition Team: The “Love For Dance” is obvious with this special group.  Disciplined, motivated and continually challenging themselves, they will do various competitions and community events in addition to the Recital.  Competing is a wonderful way to “grow” as a dancer and as a person.  It is an opportunity to gain more discipline, respect, pride and confidence.  Students are increasingly motivated to perfect their technique, style and talent.  Troupe may take unlimited number of classes weekly for one set rate.  Mandatory classes:  Ballet/Lyrical,
Jazz, Competition Team class.  Additional recommended classes:  Modern, Hip Hop, Tap, and Liturgical.  

Galaxy Dazzlers: This class includes instruction in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, and Hip Hop and is a great way to prepare young dancers for future Competitions and Galaxy Troupe.  The Dazzlers will perform in at least 2 routines in the Recital, including a Hip Hop routine.  Ages 6-11

Assistant Instructor Course:  Offered to students wanting to assist dance classes. 
Course Content:  Anatomy, kinesiology, nutrition, fitness (including Pilates), dance terminology, music selection, counting, choreography, costuming, dance class format, assessing different personalities and needs of the individual student.  Syllabus from Dance Master’s and Dance Educator’s of America.  Homework and tests.

Birthday Parties:  At your place or ours.  Party can be custom designed.  Examples include, but are not limited to, Ballet, Jazz/Hip-Hop, Creative Movement and Fitness.  Party goers learn different dance moves that culminate into a “dance routine”.  At our studio – Costume dress-up race, obstacle course and other party games.  Activity room is decorated by our Staff.  Our 2nd room is used for refreshments provided by the client.  Each party goer receives an L.A. Dance Galaxy Gift Certificate.

“Magic Moments”:  Dance classes for preschool and daycare facilities.  We come to you once a week (4 to 6 sessions).  Our unique creative movement program combines Ballet, Tap, and Jazz and Creative imagery.  We incorporate the use of props (hats, scarves, canes, bean bags, hula hoops, wands, maracas and tambourines), keeping students stimulated and focused on learning the “Art of Movement”.  A “Magic Moments” presentation to parents culminates each session.
